Primarily poet and translator, I have been always interested in painting and drawing. I began with brush painting with Master Ma, then moved onto the water colors, life drawing and Mono Print with Joel Janowitz.
I wish to integrate the two mediums and eventually finding a way of integrate poetry and painting to complement to each other. In practice, I find that the painter’s eye enhances the poetic perception, as the poet’s sensibility informs my painting with the mood in colors and tones. The painting allows me to be intimate with nature.
